<h3>History of the <strong> CESSNA CITATION JET 2 </strong></h3> The Cessna CITATION JET CJ2 (CJ for Citation Jet) is, as its name suggests, the successor to the Cessna CITATION JET 1 (CJ1), or model 525, from Cessna Aircraft, with more modern avionics and a more spacious interior. Dated from the year 2000, the CITATION JET 2, or model 525A, has been offered in two variants, the classic CITATION JET CJ2 version, and the updated CITATION JET CJ2+ version six years later. Other models followed, the CITATION CJ3 in 2002, and the CITATION CJ4 in 2008. Numbered from 001 to 299, today the CJ2 is no longer marketed. Only the CJ2+ version, starting with a serial number above 300, is available for purchase (except used). The manufacturer, Cessna, is known for its performance/price ratio.
