It was also the last transport unit designed and produced entirely by a German company. The 328-100 version is a turboprop. According to a directive issued by the central management of Daimler-Benz in Stuttgart, the former owner of DORNIER wanted the luxury standard of Mercedes cars to be reflected in the design and accessories, but this led to very high production profitability.
