BOMBARDIER GLOBAL 8000
Description of the vehicle
History of the Bombardier Global 8000
The Bombardier Global 8000, competing with the upcoming Gulfstream G800, is a direct evolution of the Global 7500. Interestingly, the Global 7500 can be upgraded to a Global 8000. The Global 8000 has been a long-planned aircraft, launched alongside the Global 7000 and a year later. However, with the evolution of the Global 7000 to the Global 7500, Bombardier decided to focus its efforts on this model, and the Global 8000 was set aside until its predecessor matured. Now that more than a hundred Global 7500s have been delivered and the production line is becoming more efficient, the manufacturer has been able to resume development, making it a new evolution rather than a new model. Its release is scheduled for 2025. It will include all the luxury inherent to Bombardier's Global range.Performance of the Bombardier Global 8000
This aircraft is compatible with SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel). The Global 8000 is extremely fast. Despite rumors, it does not reach Mach 1 but Mach 0.94, making it the fastest jet in the world. Coupled with an intercontinental cruising speed of Mach 0.92, this is a significant achievement. On May 18, 2021, the test aircraft FTV5, which was used in the design of the Global 8000, reached Mach 1. Yes, just because you own a high-performance vehicle doesn't mean it will always run at its maximum speed. The Bombardier Global 8000 can accommodate over 20 passengers and travel 14,700 km at over 1,000 km/h, reaching any destination on the planet. From London, this aircraft can serve all destinations worldwide, except parts of Australia, New Zealand, and some islands near New Guinea. It is equipped with GE Passport engines, offering 84.16 kN thrust. The development of Smooth Flĕx Wing technology allows Bombardier to offer excellent flight performance through this aircraft. Designed as two wings in one, the high-lift wing provides high agility at low speeds, while the speed wing increases performance. This technology enhances performance on the runway, with a landing distance of approximately 682m. Its operational altitude ranges from 13,100m minimum to 15,550m maximum.Avionics of the Bombardier Global 8000
